Haystack Studio: Visiting Artist
Enrollment Limit: 12
Materials Fees: $10, See Materials List Below
Level: All Levels Welcome
Class Description:
An adornment is generally seen as an accessory worn to enhance beauty or status, and/or to define cultural, social, or religious status within a specific community. Working with various materials (for example, thread, fabric, paper, wire, wood, etc.) and various techniques (for example, coiling, looping, weaving, collage, stitching, etc.) we will make a series of body adornments emphasizing the use of a guiding idea to progress from one to the next.
This workshop will be more about process than product but you may be surprised at what can be accomplished in a short time with simple materials.
