Welcome to the Maine Crafts Association Online Gallery:
SHOP Maine Craft!

MCA is proud to offer you the exquisite work of Maine craft artists, beautifully presented with the care and aesthetics equal to what you have come to expect in our galleries.

The Maine Crafts Association is thrilled to announce our brand new web-based retail store: SHOP Maine Craft!

The MCA acts to strengthen individual craft artists, Maine communities, local economies, and the visitor experience by making Maine a national crafts destination. During these unprecedented times we are working to support our craft artists in new and creative endeavors.  An online shopping platform allows you to safely connect with our artists.

We are proud to offer for online purchase hundreds of handmade craft objects made by hundreds of Maine craft artists! With the ability to shop in a socially distant manner from your couch, the park, or another state completely, it’s never been easier to support Maine craft. Your purchases directly support Maine craft artists and the Maine Crafts Association (a non profit serving artists since 1983!).

SHOP Maine Craft: Why Now?

Sadie Bliss, MCA Director explains, “The pandemic has been challenging for the MCA, our members and staff, both personally and professionally. As the uncertainties slowed, we shifted to find the silver linings, strategically rearrange and find resources, and double down on our support of Maine craft artists. Offering fine Maine craft for sale online has long been on the MCA to-do list and we’ve been encouraged by both craft artists and craft consumers to develop this resource.  COVID gave us the final push we needed to put the time and resources into SHOP Maine Craft. We are proud to offer you the exquisite work of Maine craft artists, beautifully presented with the care and aesthetics equal to what you have come to expect in our galleries.”

We encourage you to shop our online gallery often to directly support Maine craft artists and our organization. In an effort to help you easily and directly support an underserved subset of Maine craft artists, we’ve created a specific filter for our BIPOC MCA members. We recognize that our BIPOC membership constituency is small, and we are working to be more supportive to more BIPOC artists within the Maine craft community and beyond.

Please browse, share, make purchases and check back at SHOP Maine Craft often. As with our gallery locations, products are constantly changing and many are one of a kind; and in our humble opinion, we think if you like it you should buy it!

Thank you for helping us and the craft community endure through COVID and beyond by purchasing handmade, and supporting a non-profit!
