I have lived in Downeast Maine for nearly the last three decades. The remoteness, the breathtaking views and the close knit community all combine to create a sense of place that is indelibly etched into my being. As well as being a full time jeweler, I have a passion for gardening, baking bread and making wine.
I have been making jewelry full time for over twelve years now and it is more exciting and rewarding than ever! Each new season brings new ideas, techniques and materials to weave into my never ending creative process.
To create my line of jewelry, I first start at the beach. Each piece of my jewelry has a natural found object incorporated in it. Sea glass or stone, every piece is used as I have found it. It is a challenge and a reward to work with what nature tosses into my path. Once in the studio, I rely heavily on my sense of color and proportion. I strive to create well thought out and finely executed designs. My goal is to convey the wildness and freedom of the sea to the wearer of my jewelry.
