I have always been fascinated with glass. The interplay of color and light. For many years I collected vintage glass beads in the form of old glass bead necklaces and brooches. After seeing examples of modern Lampwork Glass I made the decision to learn how make glass beads myself. Well then, of course, now I needed to learn Metal Smithing to use my lovely beads to create unique contemporary jewelry.

Bunting Hill Jewelry was born and I have not looked back.

I work in Fine Silver, Argentium Silver, 14k Gold Filled, Copper and Jewelers Bronze. My metal components and designs feature texturing, etching, forming, fusing, and forging. I have a particular interest in patinas such as oxidizing, flame painting and metal stains and waxes. I use both hot and cold fusion techniques. Chains, ear wires, and clasps are my own when possible and feasible for the design. My beads are done with American, Italian, and German glass much of it impregnated with silver for lovely color reactions. All are fully annealed for strength and stability. I have been thrilled in the last year to add enameling with vitreous enamels on Fine Silver and Copper to my portfolio of work. The “Ultimate Marriage” of metal and glass!
