Peaked Mountain Mandalas

While I expressed my creativity for many years through music and writing, I am a relative newcomer to the visual arts. It has been an amazing journey. Through the creation of mandalas from photographs, my love of nature and contemplative disposition have found a new and beautiful medium of expression. I create my mandalas step by step on the computer, then print them on paper as photos and note cards and on fabric for sewn crafts. For the past few years I have shared a craft business with my daughter, but in 2020 I will venture out on my own as Peaked Mountain Mandalas. The name comes from a special place in Sebago where I find inspiration and take many of my photos. Other images come from my back yard in Hallowell and anywhere I may travel. I never know what will result when I sit down to work with a photo. Each new image is a surprise and a revelation.
