I am interested in showing the importance and renewability of the natural world and all its gifts. Spending time in nature is an important part of my creative process. In particular, I find the landscape of the forest to be inspirational, full of texture and amazing flora and fauna. I use many natural objects that I find on the forest floor in my art. These objects I see and gather and the places I have been tell their own stories. I see a magical landscape in the forest that I would like to share with others through my art. I want the objects I create to look as if they have grown in the forest and hope that they will bring a sense of connection to the natural world to all who view them. I love to use local plants, flowers, and teas to make my dyes and work with all types of natural fibers to make hand dyed and hand felted textiles.
