About
Cheryl Tyler of TerraFlora designs green walls; both vertical gardens with living plants and moss-scapes using preserved moss and other organic materials. She loves working with plants & people and believes that bringing nature inside is not only good for the interior environment, but good for the soul.
Some of Cheryl’s most vivid inspirations come from the night sky and walks along the Maine coast and in the woods. Having spent many reflective hours in nature, she finds comfort from the vibrancy and warmth the plants in her home and studio provide. Living plants and preserved moss are used to create lush, verdant nature scapes indoors. Plants do more than remove toxins from the air and provide humidity to a space, they have psychological and healing benefits as well. Humans have co-evolved with flora and have always relied on them for survival. There is a shared symbiotic relationship in the breath cycle, so it’s no wonder that humans are drawn to gardens, indoors or outside. As someone who spends hours a week caring for and talking to hundreds of plants, when Cheryl pauses and gets close, she is regularly awed by the unique patterns and colors of the foliage or the unexpected blossom. She invites you to get close, too - lean into the botanical beauty, and breathe!
You can contact her with questions or to set up a visit to her Brunswick studio at www.terrafloramaine.com
