Dennis J. Douglass, born February of 1970, has been involved with woodworking and building trades for over 33 years. He started working in the trades directly out of High School where he built and designed residential and light commercial projects. His work has received numerous local, state and even national awards. He holds certifications in residential and commercial building as well as land use laws, shoreland zoning and wastewater management. He is Certified as a Building Inspector, Code Enforcement Officer, and Licensed Plumbing Inspector. Dennis has been involved in the design and construction of over 1000 homes in the New England area specializing in coastal and island construction. With his extensive building knowledge, he provides clients with highly detailed CAD design services and creative Concept Designs.

With his passion for woodworking and architectural design, Dennis began creating exquisite Driftwood Creations in 2023. His designs range from small to monumental scale works and his first submitted piece was juried and chosen for inclusion in the 2024 Boothbay Region Art Foundation “Art in ME” Exhibit. He operates out of his home studio in Richmond, Maine with the help of his lovely wife, Melissa Douglass, and family.
