Mossy Gnome Treasures is the mixed-media studio practice of Maine artist Bonnie Chadwick, where folklore, fabric, and imagination meet. Her hand-built sculptural figures especially her signature gnomes are inspired by woodland stories, seasonal rituals, and the quiet magic found in everyday life. Created using layered materials such as clay, fur, moss, rocks, wood, fabric, found elements, and sculptural components, no two pieces are ever alike.
Bonnie’s work embraces whimsy as a form of storytelling, blending humor, warmth, and careful craftsmanship. Each gnome is conceived as a small guardian of wonder, created to be “adopted” and carried into new homes to spread a little magic. Rooted in Maine’s landscape and sense of place, her work invites curiosity, joy, and connection. All pieces are designed and created in Maine.
