About
I am passionate about using locally sourced glacial marine clay in my own ceramic art work. I love forming and carving whimsical organic one-of-a-kind creations inspired by dreams, intuition, and the natural world. I never know what will come out. I try to keep that door open.
My graduate studies at Goddard College in Vt. was focused on Loss, Death, and Transformation. I am an Interdisciplinary Artist. This includes a powerful body of work writing, performing and creating with locally sourced clay incorporating ritual, myth, psychology, Jungian archetypes and evolutionary astrology.
I am a ceramic artist and educator. I operate a small teaching/rental clay studio in Hallowell, Maine called Hallowell Clay Works. I also teach at the University of Maine at Augusta, Watershed Center for the Ceramic Arts in Newcastle and The Maine Arts Commission statewide K-12.
Clay is my primary modality for healing trauma and empowering others to gain trust in their own creative abilities. I am interested in serving humanity through creative process.
