Hailing from Brooklyn New York, Jordan moved to Maine for his high school years where he fell in love with the craft of Metalsmithing. After his introduction to Jewelry making and ceramics by artist and teacher Simon Van der Ven, Jordan began a years long apprentice with renowned Goldsmith Michael Good in Rockport Maine. After a brief 2 years at the Maine College of Art, Jordan packed his bags and moved to Austria in the search of a traditional goldsmithing education. Moving to Pforzheim, Germany and attending the 250 year old "Goldschmiedeschule Uhrmacherschule Pforzheim" where he completed rigorous training and education, culminating in his certification as a Master Goldsmith/Silversmith (Goldschmiedemeister) as well as master designer (Geprufter Gestallter). After a short stint at the French watch maker Chopard in the black forest, he moved back to America. Continuing his collaboration with Michael Good, Jordan then travelled around the country working with highly skilled goldsmiths, including being a resident artist and guest lecturer at Dartmouth College. In 2013 He made is return home to Lincolnville Maine to establish his own studio and business in Jordan Adam Designs.
