For its 2016 artist focus, American Craft Week chose to search for exceptional craftspeople under the age of thirty. Nominations were open for talented artists who were under the age of thirty on December 31, 2016. The thirty winners comprise our spotlight exhibit, Rising Stars. Our purpose was to discover great craft and foster the careers of these talented and creative artists.

Trenton, ME

My focus is to create jewelry that is clean, modern and versatile. It’s made to be functional and to compliment the wearer’s own individuality. Using silver and enamel, I seek compositions of line and negative space. Limiting my color palette allows for a greater emphasis on the the body and the linear quality on my work. My interest in contemporary jewelry and adornment fuels my will to create work that is both finely crafted, and designed for the modern day jewelry wearer.
