The Maine Crafts Association will offer a photography workshop in partnership with The Maine Charitable Mechanics Association Portland, Maine March 21st, 10am-2pm. The workshop will teach artists how to photograph their own work using equipment they have and be lead by photographer, Andrew Davis of Portside Creative. Space is limited to 12 participants.

Instructor Bio: Andrew Davis is a professional photographer based in Freeport. He has been photographing primarily antiques and fine art for over ten years, with his images appearing in multiple books, trade publications, sales catalogues and online outlets. He also regularly teaches photographers, from beginners to other professionals. Workshop Type Professional Development – All levels welcome. Description Good photography is crucial to sharing your work online, and can help set you apart in the crowded space that is social media. While a professional photographer can provide amazing and consistent results, this may not be in the budget for all of your projects. With some patience and a little bit of knowledge, you can create quality images of your own work. This half day workshop will teach you the basics of photographing your items. Learn camera settings, how to choose the best angles, working with window light as well as inexpensive artificial lighting, and some simple editing techniques.
