About the Artist

Atlantic Art Glass
Ellsworth, Maine

Ken and Linda Perrin founded Atlantic Art Glass on Mount Desert Island, and later founded Artsworth, a non-profit community space in Ellsworth to realize larger projects and invite the public to experience the process involved in shaping hot glass. The artists credit their learning to independent experimentation in the studio, and workshops at Urban Glass (Brooklyn, NY) and Haystack Mountain School of Crafts, where they studied with renowned glass artists including Richard Marquis, Cheryl Ellinwood, Dante Marioni, and Dinah Hulet. Atlantic Art Glass is collected and exhibited nationally. In 2016, Linda Perrin participated in the Craft Apprentice Program, a production of the Maine Crafts Association and the Maine Arts Commission with funding from the National Endowment for the Arts, as master glassblower and instructor to apprentice/artist Jacquelyn Jenson.
