The fragile nature of these shy and timid creatures has been captured by the artist using this seemingly delicate yet durable material.

The fawn measures 3.5″ long x 3.5″ tall.

Glass Artist Peter Lambshead has been working in the field of flame-work glassblowing for over 30 years. He completed his four year apprenticeship in scientific glassblowing, after which time he undertook the journey into the world of Glass Art. ‘Flame-work glassblowing’ is a technique that involves heating up the glass by open flame, using Borosilicate Rod and Tubing. A combined technique of both sculpting and blowing are utilized. Flame-work glassblowing entails learning to control the medium as it heats and cools, and it takes decades to master.
