Adam moved to Maine in 2010, after receiving an MFA in Woodworking & Furniture Design from the School for American Crafts at RIT. Following his tenure as Design Director at Thos. Moser, where he learned the production applications of the craft of woodworking, he founded his own furniture design studio. Adam Rogers : Studio is based in Portland.
In addition to designing and making, he has taught the craft of woodworking as a full time Visiting Professor at RIT for two years and at Maine College of Art. Adam has also taught several workshops on the subjects, including courses at Haystack and the Center for Furniture Craftsmanship here in Maine.
