Old Port Specialty Tile Showroom Manager and Senior Project Manager
Katie lives on Portland’s Back Cove and passionately loves the city, especially the Italian neighborhood where her tile showroom is located. She’s grown up in the tile business, but her artistic design sense makes her ideally suited to running Old Port Specialty Tile, the specialty division, of Capozza Tile where she serves as Showroom Manager and Senior Project Manager. Katie is part of the third generation running the family Capozza Tile business, her grandfather, Joseph A. (Buddy) Capozza Jr., founded Capozza Tile Co. in 1974. While Katie runs Old Port Specialty Tile, sister Tia is a project manager in the residential division, consulting with homeowners. Their brother, Joe Capozza, runs the commercial division, as well as the newest branch of the business: Capozza Concrete Services. As the company transitions into the third generation of our family business Katie is also very involved in the leadership team for both stores, working alongside her parents, siblings and most loyal, long term employees.
Katie brings small business sense, marketing, customer relations, sales and design skills to the MCA board and is now serving on the Finance Committee.
