The annual Running With Scissors Art Studios 6×6 Show and Open Studios are happening in Portland, Maine during Maine Craft Weekend. Join them from 5-7p.m. on Friday, October 2, 2026 at Belleflower Brewing Co. (located at 66 Cove Street), for an informal artist meet and greet and to view the annual RWS 6×6 Exhibition. Each piece is 6” x 6” and up to 6” deep, an accessible and unifying format that showcases members’ diverse styles and talents. The exhibit will be up through the end of November 2026 and will also be available on their website.
On Saturday, October 3, 2026 wander 16,000 square feet of artist work spaces at Running With Scissors Art Studios, 250 Anderson St. in Portland, from 12-4p.m. Explore the life and works of 80+ artists working with diverse mediums, goals, backgrounds, ages, and experiences and watch live demonstrations including clay throwing, Intaglio printmaking, and block printing, among other fun art making practices. Additionally, attendees will receive a BONUS GIFT if they purchase a 2027 CSA subscription box at the event!

RWS is a multimedia artist space and home to the Clay, Print, and Wood Departments. Their studios are a community where members share equipment, ideas, tools, and support. RWS aims to help artists reach their independent creative goals by providing access to shared equipment, tools, information, and community. Open studios only happen twice a year.
