MCA Educational Workshop Series:

The MCA Workshop Series connects Maine Craft Artists with one another and with other resources within our community. The series offers opportunities to learn something new, engage with other artists and in some workshops, spend time in a peer’s workspace.

MCA members and non-members are invited to offer workshops in their studios, places of business, or in our facilities. Workshops can take the form of lectures, seminars, hands on skill building, make-and-takes or other structures and concepts.

MCA Workshops access and share resources found right here among us, to connect in beautiful, functional, or wild workspaces and offer a learning experience in a serious but informal way. We’re grateful for our talented and passionate community of members who are eager to share their skills and a bit of their time! In return for their teaching, instructors benefit from grassroots story-telling, connecting with Maine craft artists interested in their work, fine tuning a technique and gaining confidence in teaching. Workshop participants benefit by learning something new, trying a new technique, networking, problem-solving and branching out of their studio practice for an afternoon.

Workshop tuition and instructor compensation change with each workshop and include member and non-member rates. Each instructor works with our staff to set these amounts.
