Lateral Draw Fume Collector

Slotted fume exhaust hood (AKA Lateral Draw Hood) manufactured by Ventaire. Model FEH 4 on the spec sheet, see blower requirements as well. Designed for use in welding applications, but suitable for any non-corrosive environment.

Dimensions are 45″ wide, 54 1/2″ tall including taper, and 8″ deep.

The hood is virtually brand new, save for a few 1/8″ holes which were drilled for mounting purposes. See pictures.

Purchased this new about 8 years ago for $1000+, but didn’t pay enough attention to blower requirements, and never fully installed it.  Eager to sell, asking $400.

Artists Studios & Apartments

Amy Stacey Curtis is looking for artists to make this amazing space possible.
Amy has been given the opportunity to create affordable studios for herself and other artists in an incredible 5,500 space in Lewiston/Auburn—to build and manage a shared, creative space with a gallery for its members and other community events like evening workshops, talks, and gatherings.

Amy wants to build out 15 or more individual studios ranging from $300 to $800/month. Managing and accommodating this artist community would be her job (Amy has said she always has to have a job; she’s an installation artist) in downtown Lewiston where she’s moving her life and practice, on November 1.
There’s a growing creative community here and apartments from $700 to $1,600/month. Amy has said she will even help artists move.

Please email Amy directly if you have any questions or an interest in working with her in Lewiston/Auburn.

Frequently asked questions:

Can I place an ad to sell used studio / workshop equipment or craft supplies?

I’m seeking or hiring for a craft related job. Can I place an ad here?

Are home + studio rental and sales listings okay?
YES! But, they need to have a link to Maine craft such as: the owner is a MCA member, the property is a studio rental/sale, the property is uniquely suited to artists and in Maine. We don’t want to list general real estate sales and rentals.

I would like to advertise my work and website. Can I place an ad here?
NO, not here, but that can be listed in your member profile OR you might consider our Co-Op Advertising opportunities.

I’m looking to hire someone to create an e-commerce website for my business. Can I place an ad here?

I offer a professional service that applies to craft artists (web design, bookkeeping, marketing)

Can I post advertisements for public events?
NO, not here, but you can submit calls for artists/ participants for the event.

Can non-MCA members list ads in Craft Classifieds?
YES! As long as the listing is Maine craft related and fits into the types of listing we are sharing. As with all listings, if we determine it doesn’t fit in we will let you know. & we always welcome new members – please consider joining! Click here for more info.
