With a vision to design and make contemporary jewelry for the clean, modern and versatile soul, Emily’s practice builds balanced compositions of line and negative space. Limiting her color palette, and utilizing her obsession for smooth, clean surfaces, she produces collections of functional pieces that support this vision. This focus also allows for a greater emphasis on the body and the structural, linear qualities of each piece. Made to last a lifetime.
Emily Shaffer’s work is available at the Center for Maine Craft in Gardiner.
The Maine Crafts Association was founded in 1983 to support and connect Maine’s craft artists. This non-profit organization provides educational programs, public events, mentorship, artist promotions and an inclusive community to connect emerging, mid-career and established craftspeople.
