Workshop Description:
This class is geared towards artists and makers looking to improve the photography and lighting of their work, beginners welcome. This workshop will explore many different ways to light 3D work to give the artist the tools to document their work as ideally as possible.
Students are encouraged to bring a 3D piece of their work to photograph. DSLRs, mirrorless or other cameras are a plus but a smartphone will also work, as this class will focus on lighting techniques and not how to use the camera. The class will cover a range of lighting options from professional equipment to DIY setups.
Instructor Bio:
Bret Woodard is a freelance photographer and practicing artist working in sculpture & 2D. He has had a photography business since 2010 working with clients such as Autodesk, Levi’s, Lucky Brand, Method, Neiman Marcus, Patreon, Red Wing Shoes, and Wish. His work can be seen at www.heytomorrow.com
