Maine Craft Interview Project: Artists Question & Artists Answer
The MCA Interview Project brings emerging craft artists together with established Maine craft artists in an interview led by the emerging artist. The interviews are coordinated, recorded and shared by the Maine Crafts Association. The project serves to support and engage emerging artists by providing a platform and structure to access first hand craft career experiences one on one. The emerging artist designs interview questions and interviews an established artist of their choosing.
The project brings craft artists at different career points (and possibly generations) together, fosters connections, mentorship, community and storytelling. It introduces emerging artists to our craft community and is a chance for established artists to reflect and support emerging artists in the field.
The Maine Crafts Association is a 501(c)(3) non-profit arts organization supporting craft artists by providing educational, marketing and retail opportunities. Our ability to accomplish our mission and help artists thrive is reliant on individual contributions.
