Maine College of Art & Design, Adjunct Professor of Textile & Fashion Design
Betsy Scheintaub is an educator, garment designer, fiber artist, and business owner. She has a BFA in Fiber Arts from the University of Oregon and ten years experience working in costumes for opera, ballet, and theater. As an independent designer, she has designed garments for production as well as a line of handbags and accessories under the label Bobbin.
Since 2014, Betsy has been an adjunct professor in the Textile and Fashion Design department of Maine College of Art & Design. Through classes in 3D materiality, weaving, and garment design, she teaches appreciation of materials, fine craftsmanship, and an exploration of textile techniques.
